赤い胸のロビンは枝の上
子猫が上ると ロビンは下りる
子猫が下りると ロビンは逃げる
捕まえてごらん そういうと
ロビンは壁に飛び上がる
子猫は追いかけて 落ちそうになった
ロビンがからかうと 子猫は言った
ニャーオニャーオ ニャーオ
その間にロビンは飛んでった
駒鳥のロビンと子猫との愉快なやりとりを歌ったものです。
Little Robin Redbreast sat upon a tree
Little Robin Redbreast sat upon a tree,
Up went pussy cat, and down went he;
Down came pussy, and away Robin ran;
Says little Robin Redbreast, Catch me if you can.
Little Robin Redbreast jumped upon a wall,
Pussy cat jumped after him, and almost got a fall;
Little Robin chirped and sang, and what did pussy say ?
Pussy cat said, Mew, and Robin jumped away.
