涙するなかれ！おお涙するなかれ！
散った花はまた咲くのだから
泣くなかれ！おお泣くなかれ！
地中には新しい命が芽吹くのだから
目をぬぐえ！おお目をぬぐえ！
わたしは天に召されて
心静める歌を習ったのだから
涙するなかれ
見上げよ！おお見上げよ！
色とりどりに咲く花の間を
見よ わたしは小鳥のように
ざくろの若枝に羽ばたいている
見よ わたしの銀色のくちばしは
あらゆる人々の病を癒す

さらば さらば わたしは飛び去る
紺碧に輝く天の彼方に
さらば さらば
「妖精の歌」と題するこの詩は、キーツの絶唱の一つである。やはりファニー・ブローンに捧げられたものと思われる。
この詩の中でキーツは、死んで天使になった自分が、生き残って自分を悲しんでいる人に呼びかけているのだととれる。あるいは、自分の死を予感して嘆き悲しむキーツ自身に、天使が呼びかけているのだともとれる。

The flower will bloom another year.
Weep no more! oh, weep no more!
Young buds sleep in the root’s white core.
Dry your eyes! oh, dry your eyes!
For I was taught in Paradise
To ease my breast of melodies,—

On this fresh pomegranate bough.
